Confession Friday

*I confess that I have already developed an obsession with buying bows for the baby.

Like these big ones! :) I made my first purchase on them last night--once I get them in the mail, I will post pictures! I am VERY excited!!!!!

*I confess that the myth about girls carry higher than boys is absolutely false. I feel like my pelvic bone is about to break! The U/S tech told me she was low, but geez louise!!!

*I confess I am very excited for the March for Babies walk tomorrow!!! Please hold off rain until the race is over, I don't want a screaming kid during the entire 5k!

*I confess I am still trying to come up with a cute way to tell people what her name is.. I just don't know.. maybe I'll wait til she comes?

*I confess I am so excited the Royal Wedding is over. Because I am just so tired of hearing about it. lol If they wouldn't have talked about it SO much, I might have actually watched it!

*I confess we went to the Chief of Police's retirement party last night & left right after dinner.. We didn't have a sitter and Landon just wasn't having it sitting there for hours. Dined and dashed, sorry Chief!

*I confess a friend of mine told me a hilarious story about her husband yesterday. And just an FYI ladies- DO NOT buy Pert with Menthol shampoo for your man!!!

*I confess this is the first confession I have done that I haven't complained about Dane in since I found out I was pregnant! Good week honey! :)

It's OK

To not want to cook dinner one night and don't want to go anywhere to get food so you make a cheap dinner you bought at wal-mart.. And then take 2 bites and feed the entire thing to the dogs.It was the worst thing I've EVER put in my mouth!!!! BLAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! So I had a brownie for dinner last night. Baby liked!

To have a name picked out for your little girl, and you still haven't told anyone it is her name! Idk what I'm waiting for... the right moment I guess :)

To sit and take CamWow pictures for hours of your family and pets. Seriously, I burned 500 calories laughing last night!

To not give a damn about the Royal Wedding. Seriously, is it over yet?

That every time you take a shower you think about people peeing in there and you wonder if you are standing in someone elses pee. ucck!!

To buy as many things I want for baby as I want, even though people are telling you its "too early".. I don't like to hear that. so stop! :)

To shut your bedroom door all week to avoid making the bed. Seriously, what is my problem? it takes 2 minutes.

To think this post is a lot like Confession Friday--But I'm bored and don't want to watch Handy Manny and my 30 day picture challenge is over! Waaaahhhh!

Bump Update

How Far Along: 18 weeks;measuring 7oz

Total Weight Gain/Loss: -1 lb this month. Still -1 lb overall

Maternity Clothes: are expensive!!!

Gender: GIRL!!!!!!! Yes, I'm still in shock & pinching myself!!!!!

Movement: I feel her all the time!!!

Sleep: whats that?? I average 4 hours a night. sigh.

What I miss: My favorite pair of shorts

Cravings: Nothing!! That is where these pregnancies are TOTALLY different!!! I would have eaten anything and everything in sight with Landon!

Symptoms: Just movement. I don't feel pregnant at all!!

Best Moment this week: Finding out I'm going to have a daughter! We are still deciding on a name..Although I know exactly what her name is going to be, I'm waiting to announce to be sure we are 100% positive! !:)

One boy, One Girl! Ahh, I'm on cloud nine!! but the thought of having a mini me is kinda scary I must admit.. ;)

This is the only picture I have of him on my computer. This picture was kept on the window sill at our wedding. He passed away in 2004 and he has been one of closest family members that I have lost & the family just hasn't been the same without him!!!

We are SO proud to announce we are expecting a BABY GIRL!!!!!!!!!
I can't even begin to explain the excitement I feel right now. The entire ultrasound I spent looking and looking for a penis. haha-I've sat through my sisters ultrasounds with her 4 boys, and I had 11 with Landon so I know just what everything is and I know exactly where and what to look for. I looked...and looked and looked! I couldn't see anything!! I figured maybe baby was just being stubborn. Then a minute later the tech asked me to roll onto my side. Yep, I knew it.. baby was being stubborn so I hadn't missed anything yet because we just couldn't see anything yet. So after being on my side and rolling back onto my back the tech started typing on the screen...

I'm a .. (long pause and a grin ahhhh lady, you're killing me!!!!) .. GIRL!!!!!!!!

I said OH MY GOD. My mom who was trying to entertain Landon and keep my sister Brandi up to date on the phone what was going on... said "WHAT??" like something was wrong. I said look at the screen!! Tears and laughter starting flowing! Brandi was crying so hard on the phone she couldn't talk!!!!

I keep pinching myself..

I'M GOING TO HAVE A DAUGHTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Confession Friday

I confess my husband is off work today, and he got up with Landon at 7:30 and took him into the living room so I could sleep since I didn't sleep AT ALL. last night because of the storms. Around 8am I wake up to the smell of breakfast. (I jump out of bed SO excited! baha hellooooo I'm pregnant!!!) Only to get into the kitchen and see he made breakfast for him & Landon. Isn't he the sweetest thing ever?!?!?! :

I confess Wednesday night I got a full 8 hours of unawakened sleep. Thank you baby2, Thank you Landon!!!!!

I confess that I had the new frozen strawberry lemonade from McDonald's and it was DELICIOUS. Probably should have ordered a small though.

I confess that Sarah K is letting me borrow LB's bounce house for Landon's birthday party. HELLOOOOO, she just saved this momma almost $200!!! god bless her!

I confess that I am making the ham for Easter Sunday again this year and I am very nervous considering my ham last year was 3 hours undercooked. I didn't know the damn thing had a bone in it people. lol

I confess that I am thankful my doctors appointment is Monday and not today because doc Snowden would put me on high blood pressure medicine. (yes, still mad about confession #1)

I confess there are 3 days left til my doctors appointment and I AM SO EXCITED!! I just can't wait to start shopping for baby!!! and most importantly give baby A NAME!!!!! If we ever agree on one! Maybe it will be easier once we know the sex!

Part 1: It's a start...

to our new backyard!!!!!

7 months later... we finally got a start to fixing up our backyard.

This will probably be a 75 part blog post, but as The Robert's say..... "We're Getting There"

Landon decided he wanted to help the guys.. luckily we have a couple of the nicest guys doing it because they were so patient with him and let him help!!!!

I bet you could imagine Landon's excitement this morning when he woke up and seen they were back at the first thing this morning! However today they are pouring the concrete so we just get to watch from inside. and trust me, Landon has been at the back door since 8 this morning!!!It's a start..

I will be sure to post more pictures once we get more progress done!!! :)

Which means planning and making decorations are OFFICIALLY STARTED!!! Although I get stressed to the max planning a party or event.. I absolutely love it!!!

After the melt down in Wal-Mart after returning the Handy Manny decorations and saying No to the Mickey, we decided on Toy Story! And with only 2 months til the party, We will NOT be changing this theme. Unless Landon empties his piggy bank and pays for it himself! lol

Invitations are made! This is the only recent picture I have of Landon smiling, but I have a few weeks to get another picture....

As you see, I've been trying to get a picture of him wearing his Woody shirt... but I'm failing....

I've decided I am not going to do a cake this year, after the disaster of a cake I had last year, I am going to stick with cupcakes!

The games I have planned so far are:

And possibly best dressed will win a prize. I haven't decided yet, But I was thinking about asking guests to dress as their favorite Toy Story character!

Day 28

A picture of something you’re afraid of

This picture may be of a little girl... but this is exactly what I look like in a dark room.

The #1 thing that I have been most afraid of my entire life is the dark!!!! I can't walk into a dark room, even the rooms at my house.

I have a night light in every room in my house, and they are on every.single.night!!

So please don't try and scare me by locking me in a dark room, because I will have a heart attack, the kick your butt! :)

Day 27

I have never blogged about this person so I figured with 3 days left of this challenge, I guess its one of my last chances...

This would be me and my daddy on our father/daughter dance at my wedding. Growing up my dad and I were never close, my parents divorced when I was about 4 years old, and we tried the every other weekend thing but I am such a mommas girl that around the age of 10 I decided I no longer wanted to go to his house. And I hardly ever saw him after that. It was about up until I got married we had no relationship at all. It was hard to just fall back into place and be like "Oh hey Dad!" I mean, I hardly knew this man! But the last 3-4 years have been great. We are so much alike, its unreal. He is a truck driver who is gone on the road 90% of the time, but when he is home he invites all the kids and grand kids over for dinner and let me tell you, this man can cook!!!!!! One of the best cooks I've ever met! EVER!!!! I am very thankful for another chance at getting to know my dad.. We may never have that lovey dovey daughter/daddy relationship.. but I am perfectly OK with that. He is there for me when I need him, and that's all that matters!!

Confession Friday

I confess my husband and I had a heart to heart talk yesterday about him using our bathroom.

I am giving him 1 more chance. (bahaha, that sounds so wrong.. let me explain) He has been the last person 2 nights this week to use the restroom before we go to bed.. Well, I wake up several times a night to pee.. and well I don't want to turn on any lights because It will wake me up too much...... and well when I sat down I fell in the toilet (literally) because he left the toilet seat up...twice. this week! not fun.

I confess I feel my itty bitty baby moving all over in my belly now and it keeps me up most of the night, but I don't mind because its the best feeling ever!!!

I confess that Landon truly redeemed himself at the South County Steak n Shake from the last time we were there. Very proud of my big boy!!

I confess that I am placing my first (I'm sure of many) orders with Georgetown Cupcakes. Do you ever watch DC Cupcakes on TLC? Well I am absolutely obsessed, and I am dying to try their cupcakes!!!!

I confess I am planning a Toy Story party for Landon.. not Handy Manny anymore.. SO if you have any cute ideas I could do for decorations, favors, food, cake/cupcake, etc... PLEASE let me know!!

I confess that my hubby fixed my laptop, so I didn't even have to get out of bed to write this confession! booya!

Day 25

(Yesterday because when I post in the morning, I had no idea what our day had in store!)

Landon and I did a whole lot of NOTHING. and it was WONDERFUL! He was the most relaxed, chill kid yesterday. We literally laid around and cuddled 90% of the day. Trust me, I felt like a lazy bum come last night, but I soaked it up! It doesn't happen very often where he will let me cuddle with him for longer than 10 seconds!!!!

Yep! Cartoons galore!!!! We are getting out of the house today for a bit.. we both need to keep our sanity! :)

Weekend Wrap-Up!

I can't believe it's already MONDAY! This weekend seemed to fly by for some reason!!

Friday I had one of the most hormones days yet. I hate not being able to control my emotions.. it scares me! So anyways... Friday my sister Brandi asked me to go to a few yard sales with her, So we loaded up in the van and headed off. we didn't have any luck and actually only got out at 2 sales. we pretty much just had a sister day of driving and talking. it was fun! Until we got to one Lady's house. My sister was up looking at things in the garage and I was in the drive way with Landon & my nephew Jayden who is 2. They were just playing with a baby doll stroller and a ride on push car....and all of a sudden the owner of the house comes out and yells at the boys saying those toys aren't to be played with. OK lady, they are 1 and 2. do you honestly think they understood you?!! Don't you think it would have been more appropriate to come to ME and tell me this, instead of raising your voice and my kid! UGH, I was so mad. I picked Landon up and we walked to the car and my sister got Jayden and we left. We exchanged a few words when we left, of course lol I've never had another person, especially a stranger YELL at my kid! She really hit a nerve somewhere inside this prego! lol That night my BFF came to my rescue and met me at tequilas for dinner. no babies, just me & Cass! It was sooo nice to enjoy a meal and our virgin drinks! :)

Saturday morning Dane & I took Landon to have breakfast with the Easter Bunny.. Let me tell you, My kid is not a fan of the Easter Bunny this year!!

Last Year...

This Year...Looks like I will not be paying to get his pictures taken with EB this year... lol But he did end up having a great time at the breakfast..

He got to make a visor... and get his face painted..and decorate an egg...

And even finger paint!!

Saturday night we went along with my sister & her family to Incredible Pizza. And let me tell you, It was INCREDIBLY BUSY!! I think it was near their MAX of people that are allowed inside. It was way too busy! So we played for about 20 minutes and left. Made a shopping trip to target & headed home! Landon decided to stay up til almost 11 watching a movie with mom & dad!

Sunday I woke up feeling great!!! My niece Madison came over so I could curl her hair up all pretty for her First Communion.

Isn't she beautiful!??!! :)

Sunday afternoon I went to a bridal shower, then headed home & planted some flowers and laid down new mulch! Finally, our house has some color!!! Then the hubby & I bbq'd as we usually do on Sundays and relaxed the rest of the evening! I actually made it through an entire day without crying! haha 1st NON hormonal day in a long time!!!! Hope it lasts!!!

It was a great weekend, it just flew by!!!!

Confession Friday

*I confess I'm afraid to go back into Waterloo Walgreen's for a long time!!!!!!

(If you missed me saying what happened on FB, let me explain. Wednesday night we ran out of milk so Landon and I headed to Walgreen's. As I was pulling into the parking lot I realized I forgot to put a bra on. I had a t-shirt on so I thought it would be OK. I figured I'd hold Landon instead of putting him in a cart to help hide the girls. So we get over to the milk and I pick up the first gallon and immediately put it under my right arm and start to reach for another gallon. BAD IDEA. The first gallon I picked up had a hole in the bottom of it the size of a dime. ALL over the girls, all down my legs, all over Landon and the floor. REALLY??? So Now I had to put Landon down, go find a worker. Then go back and get 2 more gallons. By then I just didn't care, I was pissed. Let the girls point out, if they could give the middle finger, they would have!!!! Baha. Horrible Walgreen's trip!!!!!)

*I confess that if I'm not able to get my hair done soon I'm going to cry. Like real sobbing tears.

*I confess I was really looking forward to Mommy's night out tonight.. But babies come first, and I totally understand!! *Feel better Kenedi*

*I confess that men don't understand hormones. NOT ONE BIT. nor do they try to.

or maybe its just my husband.

*I confess that if I continue to walk with my bff, I'm going to lose weight. Holy crap my entire body hurt after our walk last night!!!! Pushing a stroller up hill, against the wind is hard work! I'm going to lose all my baby weight if I push a double stroller on that route! woowee!!!

*I confess that I took 6 pictures of the kids last night on our walk. And this is the ONLY picture that Landon isn't looking at Stella. He loves her so much, he doesn't want to take his eyes off her! hehe See, even trying to put his arm around her!!! he loves "baby ella!"

Nothing too exciting this week.. except a lot of hormones! :)

Day 24

My Weight!!!

I had a hard time getting the weight off from Landon.. And I know that after this baby is born in September, I need to work as hard as I can to be comfortable in my own skin again! I could honestly careless what the scale says.. I want to look and feel ok when I look in the mirror, and when I try clothes on. There has been many days I will look into the mirror and cry. Or spend 2 hours trying on clothes that 99% of them end up on the bottom of my closet. (hints the unorganized closet!! lol)

I never in a million years thought I would read a book about vampires. Until we were on our honeymoon in Cabo and we were having a lazy day on the beach and I wanted something to read. So i went into the gift shop and they had the first 2 books for sale. So I bought them and started reading...and FELL IN LOVE with Edward Cullen. Yep, I fell in love with another man on my honeymoon!! hahaha ;) I had the first 2 books read before we landed back in St. Louis, and while we were in Cabo, Twilight had just came out in theaters so the day we got back I made Dane take me!!!!

Just a few months until Part 1 of Breaking Dawn is in theaters... I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!

Bump Update

How Far Along: 15 weeks

Total Weight Gain/Loss: + .5lbs the past 4 weeks.. so total -.5lbs

Maternity Clothes: pants, yes please. shirts, I'm still OK

Gender: I'm still thinking BOY. But we find out April 25th!!!

Movement: I felt flutters for the first time last night!!!! At first I thought it was the white castle I had for lunch, but I felt it again this morning.. so I knew it was BABY!!!!!!!!

Sleep: I average about 4-6 hours a night..mostly just lay there listening to Landon & Dane snore.

What I miss: all my summer clothes. with this warm weather coming, nothing is fitting that fit last summer.. kinda depressing. and most maternity clothes are ugly!

Cravings: Today= Bread Co! Me & Landon are going there for lunch! :)

This past week I've had to force myself to eat things, I'm hungry but nothing sounds great.

Symptoms: Other than the little flutters, nothing! I don't feel pregnant yet!

Best Moment this week: feeling baby move & Landon being the best kid EVER at the doctors office!!!! I was so worried that he was going to be a wild man since it was just me & him going to this appointment.. but he was SO good. I was SHOCKED.

As soon as Doctor Snowden put the doppler on my belly the conversation began with Landon and Snowden.

Landon "that's baby".

Snowden "yep, that's your baby brother or sister"

Landon "that's my baby" (as he lifts up his shirt)

Snowden "if that baby is in your belly, we have problems"

Landon "Oh.".......long pause....... "Shoes" as he points to Snowdens shoes.

Snowden "Yep, Look how much bigger my shoes are than yours" (puts his foot up next to Landon's"

Day 22

I wish I was better at organizing my closet.

well everything really. But my closet is the worst.

I honestly just don't have the energy to go through my clothes, it makes me depressed to bag all these clothes that fit me just a few months ago that won't fit me probably ever again.

So there it all lays, messy, in piles, unorganized.. pretty much a disaster.

I offered someone $100 about a month ago to come organize it for me, they didn't respond. (cough cough, MOM!!!)

Confession Friday

*I confess that Landon is convinced there is a baby in his belly! Every time we listen to baby with our doppler, Landon thinks he needs to lotion up and put the doppler on his tummy. Its cute!

*I confess I ate an entire head of lettuce this week.

*I confess Landon's favorite food is a "dog dog" (hot dog) and now he calls his pee pee "dog dog". I don't know how to fix that one. lol

*I confess I had the best/worst April Fools day prank pulled on me 6 years ago. Thanks again Cassie, I will never forget that!!!!!!

*I confess that I am still in shock that my bff is having a BOY!!!! so excited! :)

*I confess that I was super bummed to miss the Cards home opener yesterday..but sitting on the recliner with Landon in my pj's under a blanket was pretty amazing too!!!

*I confess that my family has a secret.. and if everything goes through like planned, it could mean a H.U.G.E change for the Luke Family!!!
