Weekend Wrap Up

Long update for a long weekend!!

Happy Tuesday!!!

Yes! I love weeks where we can basically skip over Monday!!

Lets start with Friday. Dane got off work with Cahokia at 4. got home around 4:30 and was headed into work for Monroe County at 5:30 so we didn't get to see much of daddy at all Friday night. Landon and I hate date night at home. We ordered enough food for 4 people from Applebee's and we pigged out. And when I say WE, I mean WE! I order a pasta from there nearly every time and he eats half of the adult meal. He loves it!!!! We watched movies and cuddled. It was a great night!!!!

Saturday we wake up & Daddy is home! YAY! But shortly after he is getting call after call from Cahokia saying he needed to come into work & we had a shopping day planned. So Landon and I drop Daddy off at work, and we head to Wal-mart in Cahokia for a little bit. Geeze, I didn't remember how different Cahokia is to Waterloo, until you go into Wal-Mart. There was not 1 friendly person in that entire store! Well, besides the guy behind us in the checkout lane that reeked of marijuana. I guess I'd be friendly too if I just smoked that much reefer. lol Anyways, Daddy gave us his credit card to go to wal-mart so duh, of course Landon gets a toy!!!! We spent 25 minutes in the tractor aisle. That is all he seems interested in lately at stores. Yes, he plays with other toys.. but when we are in the store all he wants is tractors and not the green ones. HAS TO BE the yellow CATS. Don't ask me where he got it from. I spent 20 minutes trying to persuade him into the green John Deere that talked because he already has 3 yellow CATS at home. Nope. Wasn't having it. So we bought our 4th CAT. Goof!

After Wal-Mart we headed back to the police department to get Daddy and we headed to the mall. Our mission was to get me a new pair of tennis shoes! After walking that 5k a few weekends back, I knew my tennis shoes were donzo! My toes went numb during the walk and my feet hurt for 3 days afterwards! It was time for something new! On our way to the mall, Landon started complaining about his feet hurting him. HAHA Smart kid! Talk about perfect timing, that means Landon gets new shoes, too!!!

yep, Mommy & Landon got matching zigs! and let me tell you, they are probably the most comfortable shoes I've EVER had!!!!!!!!! AND they were BOTH on sale, AND my cousin's step-son was working so we got an additional 20% off! SCORE! Thanks Daddy!!!!

Saturday night it was back to work for Monroe County for Daddy around 5! (he was working the Maeystown Picnic) And thats where Landon and I headed too! We went to see the parade which Landon wanted absolutely nothing to do with except for the firetrucks (that woke him up) and the tractors. He could have cared less about the candy, Popsicles, and whatever else they were throwing out! Oh, and the horses and he still calls dogs no matter how many times we correct him lol Then we headed to the picnic. Well, What they call a picnic at least. No rides, only bounce houses that Landon hates. I'm thinking the bounce house for his birthday party is a bad idea..... or maybe he will play in it if it's in his own backyard. IDK. But he loved playing the games. But the toys were hand-me down donations. like teeny beeny babies from McDonald's from 10 years ago, no thanks. He can play, but keep your prizes, please. Around 7:30 we headed home for dinner and movies! We were both sleeping around 9! It was great!! Daddy got home and in bed shortly before 2am, and was back up at 5am and headed into Cahokia for a days work! (All together now... Poor Dane!!!!) I felt so bad for him, he was exhausted!! After putting in about 8 hours of work- he was finally coming home! Hooray!!! And brought our favorite home, Arbys!Landon's excitement for arbys just wore him out......................

the 3 of us were sitting at the table having lunch and talking- and next thing you know, Landon says "Mommy, Night Night" lays his head down- and was OUT. I let him sit there for about 2 minutes because I was trying to catch my breath from laughing so hard. I pick him up and his face is stuck to the paper. HILARIOUS. He then slept for 3 hours! Baby boy was WORE OUT! Shortly after he woke up, we got a call from Paw Paw Craig & Deb (Dane's dad & New Step Mom) that they were about minutes away and would be over shortly! We headed to Columbia for dinner at tequilas and then to their hotel for a little swimming! Landon LOVED the water. He was brave enough to actually jump in unattended to and went straight tot he bottom. yep, gave mommy a heart attack!!!! but when he came up, he coughed twice and started laughing. didn't even faze him!! Ahhh, boys are crazy!!!! so you better believe first thing Monday morning we headed to Wal-Mart and bought his first life vest. No way my kid will go near another pool without one on! My sister Brandi & Her boys came over to BBQ! It was such a nice day!! the kiddy pool was full, we got a sprinkler the wind was blowing like crazy so it was a perfect day to fly kites! Perfect Weather and I even got a little sun.. well, maybe too much sun.. but it will be a tan in a few days!!! Monday evening I went to see Bridesmaids with Cassie & Kacie. OMGEE! A must see. It was hilarious!!! Definitely will be buying that movie once its out!!!

Although I didn't get to spend a lot of time with my hubby, Landon and I made the best of it! Landon and I don't say it nearly enough how much we appreciate all that Dane does for us. He works 2 jobs and picks up as much OT as he can to make sure we have everything we want or need! He truly is the best husband and daddy to us!!!!

Confession Friday

*I confess that Dane is working ALL weekend, so this doesn't even really feel like a Friday to me. Boo.

*I confess our fence was suppose to be put in Wednesday. And still nothing.

hints "WAS"...reasoning for my bad mood the past 48 hours.

When they came to our house to give us our quote, they promised they weren't like Chesley Fence Company and didn't make excuses why they couldn't do the fence due to weather. LIAR. We are paying you $5,000. PUT UP OUR FENCE NOW!!! :

*I confess Landon farted this morning and looked at me and laughed & said "I farted mommy" no kidding bud! :)

*I confess I've ignored peoples calls this week, and I don't plan on returning any of the calls either... I just don't feel like talking about YOU for the 45 minutes you will keep me on the phone. Sorry my 2 year old is running out the door.. I just don't have time.

*I confess my due date is 4 months from tomorrow and we have NOTHING done in her nursery. The treadmill, computer, gun cabinet are all in the "nursery" and closet is still full! Dane thinks we have all the time in the world. drives me bonkers! I like being prepared!!

*I confess Landon's birthday present should be in SOON. and we have no way of getting it to our house.. anyone have a truck and muscles I can borrow???

*I confess our pool opens Monday in our subdivision, and I can't wait. Sorry for what your about to see neighbors but I can't wait to get SUN and get exercise from swimming!

*I confess Landon has driven his 4-wheeler around the house and outside nearly everyday since his 1st birthday party... and he FINALLY learned how to steer it on Monday!!!! Hooray for no more scuff marks on the walls and cars!!!!

*I confess I've been thinking a lot about Adrien's promised scheduled booty calls. haha OK, that isn't what it is, but I thought it was funny! anyways, Only because i know my sex drive isn't as active this pregnancy as it was before, and like it was when I was pregnant with Landon.. and I know Dane's hasn't changed. and don't "Poor Dane" just yet! he isn't deprived but I think maybe a reminder will help me? lol

*I confess Landon has had no supervision for the last 20 minutes, and I'm scared. So I have to go :)

Bump Update

How Far Along: 22 weeks

Total Weight Gain/Loss: +2 lbs

Maternity Clothes: yep, still expensive, most are ugly, but I need them!

Gender: Hopefully still a girl :) Layla Ann

Movement: She is very active, but not as violent as Landon was.. maybe that's a good sign ;)

Sleep: I am getting about 8 hours a night again, Hooray!!!!

What I miss: TANNING!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to fake bake again!!!!

Cravings: I ate ice cream last night, which I NEVER eat.. so I guess that?? Otherwise, nothing!

Symptoms: Just movement. I don't feel pregnant at all!!

Best Moment this week: So far everything about this pregnancy has been great! I feel awesome, doctor says baby is growing perfect & has a strong heart rate, my weight is actually under control (so far) and I love feeling her move around! Other than the occasional mood swings, I'd have to say pregnancy really makes me a happier person!!

While doing this update, I accidentally pushed a button on the computer, and found out I had a web cam... so I thought I'd take a belly shot. And well, This is what I consider to be my "skinny picture" because I feel bigger than I look here. but there ya go.. for my blogger friends only :) Even a glimpse of a oh so lovely stretch mark smack dab in the front of my stomach from the lovely Landon lol

Weekend Wrap Up

Friday night Dane and I took Landon to the Grizzlies Home Opener game. If you have never been to a grizzlies game, you have to go. They are a lot of fun, kid friendly and tickets are $5!! Can't beat that! Landon ran around the entire game like a mad man.. But so did the other 500 kids there, so it's the one public place that it's OK! lol
He was choose to draw the 50/50 attendance price in the middle of the 7th inning.. and well, that was about 9:30 and Landon had had enough and was ready to go to sleep, so we left about 15 minutes before it was time to draw, so another lucky kid got to do it in his place. Next time! We get home and get situated and in bed around 11 and Dane gets called out. Oh the glory of him working in Cahokia!!
I actually have NO pictures of Landon from the game Friday. Only this one of the guys with Izzy. Landon won't go ANYWHERE near Izzy.. TERRIFIED!!!!

Saturday morning we did a little shopping and then that afternoon we had a graduation party to attend for the lovely Katie Duncan! She graduated from Columbia High School and is very excited to attend Meramac College next year! So proud of her!!! :))

Saturday night was the hardest part of the weekend. My mom was throwing a surprise 50th birthday party for her boyfriend, Dave at Shenanigans in Belleville... which meant we had to get a sitter. As much as I love a night away, it just hasn't gotten any easier to leave him. I guess because I am with him 24/7 it makes it that much harder when he cries when I leave :( But we survived and had a great time at the party. Granted we were home by 10:30, but that was good enough for me!! My mom worked so hard on his party, and it sure did show! She had over 100 people show up and they all turned Shenanigans into a biker bar for the evening! :)My beautiful momma & Dave

Sunday was our family day! We went to wal-mart that morning and got Landon a little pool for him to swim in (which he basically wanted nothing to do with) and we grilled and played outside for a majority of the day! It's nice to have days where you don't have to leave the house, unless you want to! We all got a little sun, and just relaxed and enjoyed the day :)
