BB! (BoRiNg BloGgEr)

Well here I sit a week from my last post, still wondering what to write about today. I have totally neglected my blog the past few weeks and I am not proud of it.

But don't worry-- I still religiously stalk yours!! lol

So to catch you up a little bit-- here are my recently confessions, obsessions, rants, and raves.

And basically anything else I can think of while sitting at work!

here goes nothing.

Work has been going good. I am finally done with the training and on my own. I work Wednesday & Thursday evenings from 3pm-9pm and Friday days from 7am-2pm. and a occasional Sunday evening here and there when needed! I really like the job-- something about being out at the airport, I just feel right at home!

I hear a lot of moms say they don't understand how SAHM's do it. Well I couldn't disagree with you more. Yes, being at home with a child 24/7 is challenging and A LOT OF WORK but the stress and everything that a job, outside of your job at home-- holy cow. it's overwhelming! and I'm only part time!!!!!!!!

So here's a shout out to all you working mommies.. You must drink a lot of coffee! lol

This week starts week 32 of this pregnancy! HELLLLLOOOO Month 8!! and Do I feel the pains of an 8 month pregnant woman in 105 degree weather. My entire body aches! I waddle, and the best part about waddling you ask? When someone points it out to you that your waddling! Gee, thanks. I didn't notice!! lol

As you may have read on my facebook, I returned Layla's bedding-again. However, a new bedding has been purchased and it has officially made it outside of the package and on her crib. (don't worry, it's getting washed--I put it all on the bed just to take a picture. yeah, a lot of work for a silly picture!!!!!!)

It's so cute! I love love love it! I am so happy I listened to my mom! (you won't hear my say that very often)

we have a lot of work to do in the next 60 OR LESS days, so pictures should be posted shortly! My mom keeps teasing me that Layla is going to be a boy with all the trouble I've gone through with her bedding. Let me just tell you--if it happens, please come to my house and take the bedding down. I think I'd have a breakdown if I seen it when we got home from the hospital! lol

I've come to realize that no matter how much you do for some people, or how hard to try to keep them happy.. it's just impossible. At time I feel like I walk on egg shells around some people just to keep them happy and keep the peace. I wish some people could just be happy for me and not make every situation that occurs about them!

whew. had to get that off my chest.

anyways.

have you seen the coupon ad in the paper for steak n' shake lately?? OMG. If i would let myself I would eat there for every meal. Chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast, burgers and cheese fries for lunch, and chili 5 way with a shake for dinner. ugh. starving!!!! This working til 9pm thing is going to be hard. My dinner tonight was a bagel. Yum!

I confess that I feel more insecure with myself right now than I ever have in my life. Even when I was 30lbs heavier when I was pregnant with Landon. I'm worried I will never be OK with what my sweet innocent little babies have done to my body!

I confess that my house has taken a beating lately. Landon's messes are getting bigger, I have no energy to clean, our decorations from waist down have been put up or broken so our house is incredibly bare, with nearly all white walls on the lower level. I need a interior decorator who is also a maid... Any volunteers? don't all jump at once. Apply within...

Have I mentioned lately how much I miss my husband. He worked all day Friday- all night Friday, Saturday night around 8pm he got called into work for the homicide and he has been at work ever since. It's Sunday evening. Waaahh! Being a wife of a police officer is hard work!

Weekend Wrap Up!

Friday night we had a nice relaxing night at home. Dane finished painting Layla's room and we ordered Applebee's togo.

btw, the girl who works car side Togo thinks her job is the most difficult job in the world. I wanted to tell her I did it for almost 4 years, to chill. but I didn't. I let her take her time, charge me for things I didn't order or receive, then let her fix it all. lol

Anyways, Here is a sneak peek at Landon & Layla's room as you're walking upstairs. I promise, that is still the tape on the wall and not a blue border around her room. :)

We matched the paint with the bedding the night it came in the mail.... and guess what. I'm returning it.

Yep, don't judge me. lol

Friday night was our first attempt of Landon sleeping in his big boy bed. (well, 2nd big boy bed) I still didn't have a bed rail so I used the mattress from Layla's crib and sat it next to his bed and pushed his toy story table up against it. It worked wonders! Although he didn't sleep the entire night, 9pm-2am was a good enough start for us!

Saturday morning Dane had to work so Landon & I decided to do a little shopping with my mom. Landon just adores Grandma Debbie! It's so cute!! We had lunch at Olive Garden, YUM! and then headed to Babies R Us. I blame my mom for my change of heart on the baby bedding....and I'm not 100% sure if the bedding is going to match the paint that is on the walls.... soooo, I might have one upset hubby this weekend.... lol thank god he is patient with me. :) ALSO,

I'm very proud of my couponing lately. I got a big box of Pampers sensitive wipes for only $6. Original price was $13. go me! and finally got a bed rail to go on Landon's bed!! Which must have been exactly what he needed. He went to bed somewhat willingly Saturday night. He whined a bit but I told him he had to sleep next to his fishy and he was OK with that & was out within 5 minutes and slept from 8pm-6am! Sucked getting up that early, but I was so excited for him that I didn't care what time it was!!!

Sunday I had to work & Dane and Landon went to the pool & had a guys day.

Sunday afternoon we heard that news that Dane's grandma had passed away. It has been a rough 24 hours for the Luke family. We are headed home to be with his family this evening. Dane and his grandma Marge were very close when Dane was growing up, so I know the next couple days are going to be extremely hard. Even with all the hormones, I know I have to keep it together for him!

Confession Friday!!

*I confess Layla's room is PINK!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so so so excited! We Dane finally got the first coat on last night!! We chose a lighter.. it's pretty but with nothing done to the room---it looks like pepto bismol all over the walls. lol

pink is really a scary color when your use to blues and greens!!!!

*I confess I am ecstatic to be off work today!! Pool day??? I think so!

*I confess we got a phone call from my father in law last night telling us that Dane's grandma isn't doing good. Please add her to your prayer list. <3

*I confess I am not ready to be waking up every 2 hours in the middle of the night.. I have about 68 days left of good sleep.... waaahh!!!

*I confess that Landon dropped something yesterday and said "shit". Ugh, I'm so mad at myself!!!!!!!!!!! :(( I didn't say anything to him-So I'm hoping that if I quit saying it, he will forget.

*I confess we are on the hunt for one MAYBE two new vehicles!! exciting and frustrating!!!

*I confess we have boat fever. Even with a 2 year old, and 1 on the way.. we want one BAD!!!!!! Who said our babies can't be water babies?!?! :)

*I confess that all this talk about NKOTBSB.. really makes me miss *Nsync!! I was never a Backstreet Boy fan, my sister was the NKOTB fan.. I miss me some good ole JT!!! When will the *Nsync reunion be??????

*I confess that the last month or so I have been a extremely lazy cook! I haven't made anything new or creative.. Sorry hubby, I promise this is just a phase that I will get over!

*I confess I get really aggravated with people when you tell them their kids are cute and their response is "I know". Yes, I know everyone thinks their kid is the cutest kid on earth, but I feel like you're being rude by not saying thank you! If I knew that girl a little better, I probably would have told her she was rude. lol

Bump Update!

How Far Along: 30 weeks!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: +2.5 from last month. +10.5 total

Maternity Clothes: Yes, please!

Gender: hopefully still a GIRL!

Movement: She's an active little booger! :)



Sleep: avg 7 hours. can't complain!!!

What I miss: laying on my stomach!!

Cravings: Nothing in particular.. just hungry all the time!

Symptoms: charlie horses galore!!!!

Best Moment this week: We made it to the home stretch!!! 30 weeks down, 10 to go!!!

(better late than never) Weekend Wrap Up!

Never thought I would be so happy to see a Tuesday!

Thursday was my first day at the new job and I've worked worked worked ever since! For those of you that have known me awhile know I use to work at the St Louis Downtown Airport in Cahokia/Sauget before I had Landon. After having him I decided staying home with him was the best thing for both of us! I loved my job there, but they weren't willing to work with me on my hours so I quit. Here we are 2 years later and I got a job back at the airport, but at another location. Trust me, I wish my old job was hiring!! I did love it there and I loved my lovely side kick Dee Dee!!
Anyways, this job is suppose to be part time, and I still haven't been told my hours. I'm just coming in random hours right now for training.. but I did some figuring in my head on the hours they need covered and what work with my schedule--and they don't mix 100%. and that puts me at 5 days a week and 34 hours. Waaaait.... I thought this was PART TIME??? We'll see...

Friday after work Dane and I decided to attempt to take Landon to his first movie at the theater. He loves Cars so I thought he would do great.. WRONG. He watched the previews, which ran 25 minutes after what was suppose to be the start time and sat for maybe 2 minutes. He was horrible once the movie started. He yelled MATTTEERRRRR at the TV every time they showed Mater.. It was very distracting for the other kids in the theater, so we left. I might attempt that again in a few years!

Saturday we did a little shopping & got Landon a new big boy bed! He only had his toddler bed for a couple months but he is just a squirmy little guy! He rolls soo much in his sleep and was rolling off the bed every time he slept on it. So we upgraded to a twin! We'll see how it goes. He hasn't slept in it yet because I've forgotten to get the bed rail from Target not once, but twice! Gr!!
Saturday evening the Walter's came over to hang out! Landon is getting a little better with sharing his toys, but geezz. I can't wait for the day that I don't have to stop him and tell him that Stella is allowed to play too! Ayi Yi Yi!

Sunday morning Dane and Landon headed to the pool & I headed to work.. Should be a sin to work on Sundays!! After work I headed to target for the 2nd attempt to get Landon a bed rail. Remembered it about half way home! O well, another excuse to go back!

Landon is doing good at Nana Bear's. It's the drop off that absolutely kills me. Day 1 was OK. We both cried. Day 2 was a little better, I didn't cry--Landon did for a minute. Day 3 was by far the worst. I told him he was going to Nana's on the way there.. bad idea. He cried the entire 20 minute drive, and so did mom. I was a mess!! I really hope this gets easier!!!

I'm headed to the baby doctor today... not to excited to get on the scale.. I just know it's going to be BAD NEWS!!!!
