A blog I follow is doing a ring bling linkup.
Married ladies, join in..
Single ladies, share your dream ring!!!
Since my wedding photographer was an absolute flop and still 3 years later, I don't have my wedding pictures! (Don't worry, I've already given up on getting them...) I had a take a picture of my ring this morning. so this is what you get!
The Ring:
The engagement ring is 2ct princess cut and the band is 1ct princess cut channel, I don't remember the clarity, but it's pretty freaking flawless in my eyes!!!!

Our Story:
On December 20th, 2007, just 1 month shy of our 2 year anniversary, Dane texted me at work and asked if I wanted to go to the shrine that night (since I had been bugging him the entire month of December to go!)
So later that evening we headed out to dinner and then to the shrine, nothing out of the ordinary but I seriously kept thinking to myself, I think he is getting sick because he just wasn't himself the entire night at dinner.
So later that evening we headed out to dinner and then to the shrine, nothing out of the ordinary but I seriously kept thinking to myself, I think he is getting sick because he just wasn't himself the entire night at dinner.
So as we were going through the shine Dane reaches to the backseat and hands me a ring box. My heart started racing. But I opened the box, no ring.
Instead it was a key with a little note.
The note said "Bring this key under the tree that makes our house a home. Slice through the paper, unlock the box, and discover your future to be"
(let me just tell you.. that was the LONGEST drive through the shrine I have ever experienced. I wanted to push the cars through it to get home!!! lol)
So anyways, we get home which feels like days later and he sits me down on the couch and he picks up a box under the Christmas tree and tells me to open it. My thoughts? This can't be a ring either, this box is HUGE.
sorry, no picture of the box
So I open the present 1000 mph and it's a jewelry box. (one of the things I asked him for for Christmas.. this one just happened to be one that locked!)
So I unlock the box and open the top part of the jewelry box and there was MY RING and another note:
Kim,
Will you marry me?
I look up bawling my eyes out and there he was on 1 knee. I don't think I gave him an answer for 10 minutes because we sat there on the living room floor hugging and crying.
It was one of the most exciting moments of my life!
