Celebrate!

Ok so not everyone will celebrate with me on this..
but I have officially made it 12 weeks of nursing Layla.
12 weeks = my goal!!!
I never thought I'd make it considering I barely made it 8 weeks with Landon.
If you haven't done it or at least tried it, I don't think you realize how HARD it is!

So here is a gold star for all the mommies who have made it past 12 weeks!
If you have any words of encouragement to share with me that helped you go longer.. please share!! :)

Peace Out!

Hooray! Congrats! For me, as long as everyone's health was good, I didn't give myself any other option. I was kind of like, "Okay, here we go!" Haha. I do think it gets easier as you go. :)

That's wonderful! This definitely something that deserves praise! It's a ton of work but way cheaper than the formula Layla needs to be on! You should get to go on a shopping spree with all the money you'll save!

I think the hardest part of the whole ordeal is the fact that for those first few months you really do feel homebound. But then that lovely time comes where they can start eating other things like baby food and little snacks to hold them over and you get to stay out longer. So in that way, it does get easier. And (for me) the longer I nursed the more my body got used to a schedule *I* set, instead of me having to work around my boobs freaking out and producing whenever they felt like it. I don't know if that will make any sense to you! Haha.

It definitely gets easier. From my own experience you are currently right at the point when it all starts falling into place. You two will find your routine and it'll become second nature to you. I started back to work when my little guy was 3 months old, so getting used to the pumping was an additional challenge, but it really does get easier, promise! PLUS breastfeeding uses up an extra 500 calories per day! By the time Sam was almost a year, I was about 10 lbs lighter than my usual weight just due to breastfeeding, I didn't even have to try!
